The COVID-19 pandemic has elevated telehealth and telephone and the need to expand these care modalities permanently beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout this pandemic, our health center members observed firsthand the great benefits of telehealth, specifically how it enhances access to care and helps remove barriers such as access to transportation, childcare, time off from work, etc.

Pharmacy Delay

Over the past few months, CPCA, working alongside California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (CAPH), California Hospital Association, and Local Health Plans of California (LHPC) continue to push for a delay of the Medi-Cal Rx pharmacy transition.

 
 
 

Virtual Day at the Capitol 2021

CaliforniaHealth+ Advocates kicked off the three-day event on May 25th with a virtual welcome address from Corinne Sanchez, Advocates’ board chair and President & CEO of El Proyecto del Barrio, Inc. Assemblywoman Cecilia Aguiar-Curry and Assemblyman Mike Gipson spoke to attendees and participated in a question-and-answer session with members facilitated by Advocates’ SVP of Strategy, Integration & System Impact, Andie Patterson.

PAC Contributions

California Health+ Advocates is excited to announce that the Board approved the formation of a Political Action Committee (PAC) which will allow Advocates an additional avenue to participate in the political process.
